Hi Stas.

Pol Pot is a post punk band from Zaragoza, a windy city situated into a Spanish hollow.

We began playing with an old synth composing long and slowly songs. This was an innovation for us cause all our previous bands were fast and furious. But early we felt comfortable with the new style, took guitar and bass and played it carefully. Some slow voices were added to create an overcast atmosphere maybe close to old bands from the afterpunk beginnings. Finally we completed the formation with the drummer who cooperated with new ideas and some months later appeared our first lp called: Whole mystery. Nine songs, including a Grauzone cover, edited by Go Mongo Records, Trabuc Records and Urban Hell.

Lyrics talk about some convoluted conceptions like the strange thoughts process, the time prisons or the eternal repetition of the reality actions. We try to tune the ethereal punk sounds with an introspective matters finding some surreal expresions and symbolic shits.

On a different topic, at Zaragoza you can now listen some good punk bands like Radionova, Warsong, Switch Over, Electroyonkis, Zorras Adolescentes, Almax (hc), Down to agony (crust), and a lot more. This is not a big city but we have good shows and places where play and listen bands arround the world. If you want to know about these bands you can look up at bandcamp.
